Application Information

For both you and your parents, this is a time of great pride and anticipation as you apply to college and prepare for the next stage of your life.  For many, choosing a college is an exciting and rewarding process.  The possibilities are boundless.  This is an exciting time to become a UConn Husky!

You are strongly encouraged to submit your application online which will expedite our processing and review of your application.  Meeting deadlines as outlined on this website is essential.  Applying in advance of deadlines offers several benefits.  It increases the likelihood that UConn will notify you of the application decision sooner, and allows guidance counselors and teachers sufficient time to help you gather the strongest supporting materials.

Applications cannot be evaluated until all required documents are received.  Along with the application, please include all supporting materials in the same envelope, when possible.  Official transcripts must be sent directly from each institution attended.

All applicants submit:

  1. Application
  2. $70 Application fee
  3. Official high school transcripts/GED
  4. SAT/ACT scores
  5. Official previous college transcript(s)
  6. Essay
  7. Recommendations (optional)
  8. FAFSA (to federal processing center), if seeking financial assistance

Permanent Resident/Non U.S. Citizen Applicants additionally submit:

  1. Copy of Permanent Resident Card

International Applicants additionally submit:

  1. TOEFL scores
  2. Certified translation of official documents, when originals are not in English

Applications to all campuses of the University of Connecticut are processed at the main campus in Storrs.
