Every UConn student is given access to the following online technology:

E-mail Huskymail
Online Courses HuskyCT
Course Registration StudentAdmin (aka Peoplesoft)


HuskyMail and HuskyCT both use a student's NetID to login. Student Admin currently uses a different login which is given at Orientation or by an Academic Advisor  Below is information that will help you get familiar with the technology at UConn.

What is my Net ID?
Enter the URL: http://phonebook.uconn.edu.  In the Search field, type your: firstname lastname

Example Result:

Student Name:
Student Net ID:
Status:
Personal Name:

The first line displayed is your full name.
The second is your NetID (found directly under your name).
The third line gives your status at the university.
The last, displays your personal name, which is associated with your NetID and is your UConn e-mail address – the address you give others to contact you.
   
Changing Your NetID Password Download and install the University's security certificate to assure secure communications between the NetID systems and your desktop.  This can be found by clicking here:  http://security.uconn.edu/ssl/.   Establish an initial NetID password by entering your date of birth, student ID number and student administration account (EmplID). Click here: https://netid.uconn.edu/resetpassword.php.  Please note this is a secured, private transaction using the encryption you established.   It is highly recommended that you change your password often and you choose a password that is familiar and easy for you to remember, yet something others would not guess or associate directly with you. If you have a password you are currently using at home (with AOL, HotMail) you can reuse it here for added comfort.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by following a similar procedure as stated above.  
   
HuskyMail Login Instructions
UConn provides students with web-based e-mail, currently through the service known as HuskyMail. If you do not have an established e-mail provider (Yahoo, Hotmail) you can use this service over the summer to stay in touch with UConn, read your e-mail messages.

To log in to UConn's HuskyMail system click here. Enter your new NetID and password to login. Your new e-mail address will be firstname.lastname@uconn.edu or firstname.lastname@huskymail.uconn.edu; it appears in the top of your e-mail web page after log in.

   
HuskyCT Login Instructions
UConn’s online course delivery tool is HuskyCT (web course tools). Faculty use HuskyCT to deliver a complete course or to enhance their courses. You will use HuskyCT over the summer and throughout your first year to stay in touch with as part of your First Year Experience. Once you begin the semester, faculty will let you know if they use the tool in their course.

From your web browser, go to:  http://huskyct.uconn.edu  You will login using your NetID and password.  Note that you must type in your NetID in all lowercase letters.  Once in, you will arrive at your personalized "My Courses" page, which includes FYI - First Year Interactive as well as any other web-enhanced courses you might be taking.

   
Changing Your HuskyCT Password Your HuskyCT password will always be the same as the one you set up for HuskyMail.  If you need to change your NetID password again, from your web browser, go to: http://netid.uconn.edu.  
   
Student Admin Login Instructions
UConn's course registration is done completely online in Student Admin.  In Student Admin, you can view enrollment appointment times, add/drop/swap courses, view grades and unofficial transcripts, and search the schedule of classes.

From your web browser, go to:  https://www.studentadmin.uconn.edu  You will use your special Student Admin ID and password.  Please note, your Student Administration Login ID and Password are not the same as your NetID or HuskyCT, and the password is set to Date-of-Birth preceded with a ‘W’.
